william is an essayist, playwright, and poet based between New York, and Iowa City. They work as an educator, teaching undergraduate poetry workshop at the University of Iowa, where they are also an MFA candidate in poetry.
Their essays & poems have been published in the Erotic Review, House House Magazine, ONLY POEMS, & elsewhere. Their most recent play, Gottesfehler, was a Finalist for the American Playwriting Foundation’s 2026 Relentless Award.
They are the author of Love/Sick/American, winner of the Cave Canem 2027 Derricotte/Eady Chapbook Prize, forthcoming with Black Lawrence Press on March 16th, 2027.
william is currently working on a novel.
